What is the cost of cardiac rehabilitation?
This rehabilitation program is designed to support recovery from a medical condition. In most cases, insurance will cover part of the costs associated with the program for those qualified patients.
We recommend coverage be confirmed directly with insurance providers. If there is no insurance coverage, North Okaloosa Medical Center can help develop a specialized payment plan.
How to get started
A referral from your primary physician or cardiologist is the first step in becoming a participant in the North Okaloosa Medical Center's cardiac rehabilitation program. Schedule an appointment with your physician to determine if you are eligible. The outpatient component of the program generally begins at discharge from the hospital. A registered nurse and an exercise specialist will monitor this phase, which combines education, counseling and behavior changes. The 8- to 12-week phase usually consists of three 1-1½ hour exercise sessions per week. The program is customized for specific patient needs and requirements.
