CRESTVIEW, FL - The Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative has recognized North Okaloosa Medical Center’s maternity team for excelling across five quality measures in the Postpartum Access and Continuity of Care (PACC) initiative. The NOMC maternity team was awarded five stars based on their performance of the following measures: improved postpartum care access, empowering education, increasing hospital capacity to sustain PACC efforts, exceptional participation and timely data reporting.
Achieving all five stars is very prestigious, each metric requires dedication of the maternity team from the initial kickoff to the conclusion of the PACC initiative, a period spanning nearly two years. Maternity team leaders conduct a variety of quality improvement tests and interventions, while training their staff and physician team and educating patients. The team presents their success and challenges, helping colleagues learn from their efforts.
“Achieving all five stars from the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative’s Postpartum Access and Continuity of Care initiative exemplifies NOMC’s focus on bringing the highest quality care to our communities and the patients we serve,” said Michael Nordness, the hospital’s chief executive officer.
